The step motor-controlled clamp lift ensures shorter cycle times and thus increased efficiency.  512-212 – With contraction clamp for buttonhole bartacks: 

The lockstitch bartacker 512-212 comes with a contraction clamp for bartacks of buttonholes. When lowering the clamp the clamp arms push the buttonhole lips together. Like this, the buttonhole is perfectly closed after bartacking.
